Street Fighter x Tekken at IGN: walkthroughs, items, maps, video tips, and strategies. A DLC character pack to add the 12 new characters from PlayStation Vita's roster to PS3 and 360 console.
Word from Capcom is that the DLC existing already on the disc will be unlocked soon, and you can bet your hard-earned beans that they will feature additional characters and gems. The controversy of Capcom's questionable decision notwithstanding, Street Fighter X Tekken will soon be updated with the following (written in purported chronological sequence):
- Starting April 3rd, Swap Costumes takes the idea of alternate costumes to another level. This allows you to outfit characters with the costume of another character. Cammy can dress as King, for example. Each costume will run for $1.00, or buy the whole package for either Street Fighter or Tekken for $13.00. Each pack contains 19 Swap Costumes, thereby saving you $6.00 for buying the pack rather than each costume individually.
- Along with the April 3rd update, there will be three free color packs that each add four new additions to the palette for more customization. As well, the addition of 3 new combos will bring the total of pre-programmed attack patterns to a total of 5.
- A new tournament title update will feature an improved gem-swapping system on the versus screen.
- A title update after the tournament one will bring three new Assist Gems packs and six new Boost gem packs, both ultimately adding 60 new Gems.
- More gems means more gem slots. Players will get three new gem slots per character.
- Free replay analyzer that allows the player to get into the real nitty-gritty intricacies of analyzing opponents.
- A DLC character pack to add the 12 new characters from PlayStation Vita's roster to PS3 and 360 console versions will cost $20.00, to come on July 31, 2012.

Buying this version rekindled my enjoyment of this game. It tied into my PS3 version, in that the characters I unlocked were available already. The graphics aren't dumbed down noticeably, but the screen backgrounds lack the animations found on the PS3 version. I was a little miffed at first because I didn't understand the rear touch pad was utilized in this game. At first I was throwing out some unintended moves, and it was pretty frustrating. Once I realized the rear touch pad was the culprit, I turned it off some of the tiles on the rear touch pad, and it made the game much more playable. I did still leave on portions of the rear touch pad on, so I do have to bunch my fingers up a little bet so I don't throw unintended moves. Unfortunately, this makes long periods of game play very uncomfortable. Overall I like this version of SF X Tekken, but I was hoping this version would have some added or just different characters. It is a straight up clone version of the PS3 version, albeit some of the background animations were dumbed down a bit to make up for this being a hand held version of SF X Tekken.
